Inventory Management
How to track and manage Shopify inventory across locations using Zeiko's inventory tools.
Zeiko provides inventory tools for Shopify stores so you can monitor stock, review sync state, and run corrective actions.
Before You Start
- Connect Shopify first
- Open Inventory in the correct workspace
- Make sure the latest Shopify sync has completed if the numbers look stale
Inventory Dashboard
Open Inventory in your workspace to see:
- Current stock levels across all Shopify locations
- Sync history showing when data was last updated
- Alerts for low stock or inventory issues
Smart Actions
Smart Sync
Import a count sheet from pasted rows, uploaded files, scans, or the live count screen. Smart Sync now shows current count-state beside the import form: items needing review, counts ready to apply, applying updates, failed or partial runs, the latest activity, and shortcuts to review history and the audit log.
On the live count screen, saved counts appear above the filters and counting progress bar. Use Load into sheet to resume a count, or Remove to clear stale draft, needs-review, ready, or failed counts before starting new work. Counts that are applying or already finalized stay in history.
Printable count sheets use the compact layout by default, with more width reserved for product names and a narrow size column so long titles stay readable on paper.
The live count and Smart Sync import screens show Shopify baseline freshness before you review or apply counts. If the baseline is stale, failed, queued, or has never completed, refresh inventory from the main Inventory page first.
The audit log includes a snapshot above the table so operators can see the visible net delta, affected SKUs and locations, source mix, and latest activity for the current filter. Baseline freshness shortcuts open the audit log filtered to inventory_sync; Smart Sync shortcuts open it filtered to smart_inventory_sync.
Smart Totals
Automatically compute and reconcile inventory totals across all locations. Useful when stock quantities get out of sync between Shopify and your actual inventory.
Fix Negative Inventory
Identify and correct products showing negative stock quantities in Shopify. This can happen due to:
- Overselling during high-traffic periods
- Sync delays between sales channels
- Manual entry errors
Transfer Stock
Move inventory between Shopify locations:
- Select the source and destination locations.
- Choose products and quantities to transfer.
- Review and confirm the transfer.
- Shopify inventory levels update automatically.
Where to Go
- Inventory — main stock table and sync history
- Import inventory count — Smart Sync imports, current count-state, review history, and audit-log shortcuts
- Inventory count — live counting with saved-count resume/removal before filters and counting progress
- Audit logs — source-filtered inventory change history with summary cards for count and sync investigations
- Smart totals — totals and reconciliation helpers
- Fix negative inventory — repair inventory records with negative counts
- Transfer inventory — move stock between locations
Sync with Shopify
Inventory data syncs from your connected Shopify store:
- View sync run history with timestamps
- Re-sync on demand when needed
- Track changes over time
- If a scheduled sync is still pending or running after the stale threshold, Zeiko reports it as stalled and the background processor retries pending work or fails stale processing jobs before new work is selected.
Inventory Intelligence
Zeiko Ecommerce can provide inventory recommendations for operator review:
- Identify slow-moving products
- Predict stockout risks based on sales velocity
- Suggest reorder timing based on historical patterns
- Seasonal demand forecasting
Common Issues
Inventory numbers look wrong
- Trigger a refresh if the latest sync is old
- Check whether the issue is isolated to one location or all locations
- Use the relevant smart action if the problem is negative inventory or mismatched totals
I cannot move stock between locations
Confirm the products and locations exist in Shopify and that your workspace has the required Shopify access.
I expected inventory intelligence but do not see it
Check that Shopify is connected and that Zeiko Ecommerce is installed in your workspace.
